The Professional Actors Workshop series will be conducted from May 1st - 18th, 2009 (inclusive) in Los Angeles, California and has been designed for actors who are contemplating a move to LA in the near future. We are looking for represented talent, 18 - 30 years of age, with professional credits and/or substantial training.

 

 

The Workshop has been put together by casting professionals for actors. We all recognize that there is a need for a genuine series of workshops so that emerging Australian actors can work with the American decision makers. Actors will get honest feedback about their performance and their employability in the US before relocating. There are no promises of representation or 01 Visas. As any agent of repute knows, if a studio wishes to employ an International actor, they will get the paperwork done.  

 

The aim of the workshop series is simple - ‘to introduce actors to the leading casting directors and network casting executives in Los Angeles'. The team of casting professionals who will be teaching the workshop series are listed in the Fact Sheet available from Kari Harris Casting. As part of the agreement with the casting professional the list cannot be posted publically. However, it is available to reputable agents and managers at any time. As you will see, they are not associates or assistants, but Casting Directors with substantial credits, experience and reputation. Many of them do not teach workshops, but have agreed to teach this series as they have cast Australian actors and respect the work ethic Australian professionals possess. The casting directors are being remunerated for their time as they are teaching. These are not paid ‘go-sees'.
