WHAT IS THE ON-CAMERA TVC WORKSHOP?
The On-Camera TVC Workshop is for kids who are interested in acting for camera and want to learn how to audition for television commercials and/or just have FUN!
We provide an interactive environment for children of any level to experiment with acting and auditioning for camera. During the workshop each child will simulate an audition for a national television commercial and receive direct feedback on his/her performances by the casting director conducting the workshop.
The On-Camera TVC Workshop is a place where children can play and learn new acting and life skills. Our mission is for each child to leave the workshop with a smile on their face and feel a sense of achievement.
We believe that by allowing children the freedom to play in a unique and supportive environment they will be better equipped in the world of acting AND life. The following list provides examples of areas that will be covered in the workshop besides having FUN and PLAYING:
• Basic audition skills, so they are equipped when attending an audition
• Learning how to act out a scene
• Learning what assertive communication is
• Learning team leadership
• Learning decision making
• Learning to be part of a creative team by directing, operating camera and being part of the casting department
• Learning what their magic bag is and what special tricks are in their bag
• Understanding who the people are behind the camera and what their expectations are when auditioning
• Learning techniques that help take away the daunting jitters and find focus
HOW IS THE ON-CAMERA TVC WORKSHOP STRUCTURED?
The On-Camera TVC Workshop is conducted as though it is an actual screen-testing situation with a casting director putting each child through the paces of an audition.
Throughout each performance the casting director will explore, with the child, techniques that will enhance performance. Each child's performance will then be discussed in a positive and supportive way by the casting director and class. This will provide the optimum amount of feedback and provide a behind-the-camera perspective for each participant.
The total number of children attending is a maximum of twelve and a minimum of eight. With such small classes each child is guaranteed the attention and feedback that he/she needs to start improving and working on their technique.

Parents or Guardians will be required to sign in with their children, but then leave them with us for the duration of the workshop. The Entertainment Quarter at Fox Studios has a variety of activities to help you pass the time. There are cinemas, restaurants, cafes, retail shops and a bowling alley to keep you occupied while you wait or you could take a walk in the park across the road. Centennial Park is also just around the corner as well as Paddington Shops.
If your child is attending a weekend workshop there is an outdoor market at Fox every Saturday with food stalls, flowers, gifts and more.

Your child should bring hard copies of their acting CV and headshot if they have them plus the below items -

HOW MUCH DOES THE ON-CAMERA TVC WORKSHOP COST?
We are offering 3 x hour workshops at $99 per child plus GST & PayPal transaction fee
Total fee for the class including GST & transaction fee = $112
TVC Workshop for kids - ages 8 to 12 years old
Class size is between 8 and 12 participants.

CANCELLATIONS
We require at least 7 days notice in advance of a cancellation.
We can not refund any fee unless we have been given at least 7 days notice in order to replace numbers in the class. Thank you.
