• You wish you could obtain honest feedback while auditioning.
• You ask yourself what you could be doing differently to land the role.
WHAT IS THE AUDITION WORKSHOP 101?
The Audition Workshop 101 is a practical tool and resource, which provides a unique interactive environment for actors to work within. The workshop allows the actor to experiment, learn vital audition techniques, receive direct feedback from a Casting Director and gain insight into what it takes to achieve a strong and memorable audition AND have fun.
TV Commercial scripts are used in order to learn the fundamental auditioning techniques in short scene work. We also offer The Audition Workshop - Drama, which is longer and more intensive, but the 101 workshop is a prerequisite since we want actors to understand the basics of auditioning before participating in the Drama workshop. That way actors can use the skills learned in 101 and apply them to a Dramatic audition.
The aim of the workshop is to HELP each actor to:
Understand the fundamental skills needed when auditioning, thus building confidence and competency when auditioning.
Learn how to get a call-back and land the role.
Learn the art of non-acting, a secret for success.
Understand the importance of taking risks.
Understand the importance of character preparation and scene development.
Learn what the magic bag is and what to do with it.
Increase motivation.
Understand who those people are behind the camera & what their expectations are.
Learn techniques that help take away the daunting jitters.
